Rubén Fontana was one of the founders of the Graphic Design career at UBA, where he incorporated the subjects Typography and Editorial Design. He was the director of the Master in Typography at the same university. For 20 years he edited the specialized magazine tipoGráfica. He organized the first exhibition of Letras Latinas and its subsequent biennials. At the present time, alongside Zalma Jalluf, Rubén leads the graphic design studio FontanaDiseño. Rubén was awarded the TDCMedal in 2020.
