Designing Noto Sans Nüshu to join the large Noto Sans family brought me into multiple unfamiliar territories, both theoretically and literally. But thorough research, explorations, exchanges with the actual users of Nüshu combined with a focus on the script's nature made it possible, even during pandemic times.
