Throughout her 20+ years as a creative leader in Advertising, Marketing and Tech, Melody has been responsible for shaping numerous brands across 360 platforms at various agencies. Through her creative leadership, she has been instrumental in the growth and success of Fortune 500 brands, including HomeGoods, T.J.Maxx, BMW, NetJets, Dell, Six Flags, John Frieda, Jergens, Lancôme, Citibank, Beech-Nut, L'Oréal and Essence to name a few.

Most recently, Melody pivoted to tech, and served as a creative leader at Facebook and Instagram. As an award winning Creative Strategist she spearheaded initiatives to empower ~30 million Small Businesses to unlock their creative potential.

Outside of agency life, Melody is also an award winning entrepreneur as the co-founder and Creative Director of Curly Girl Collective. As creators of CURLFEST® — the world’s largest natural beauty festival, the company's mission is to build a global community that educates, celebrates, and connects women of color with naturally curly hair. Creating a platform which gives a voice to a historically underrepresented community, in doing so her company serves as change agents, contributing to shifting and redefining society's definition of the beauty standard.
