While corporate practices and norms are still inching closer to fair representation of women in the workplace, the conversation culturally is evolving to broader gender inclusivity. And when culture gets ahead without accurate representation, creativity and impact falls behind. Trans, nonbinary, and gendernonconforming people are erased in the discussions of 50/50 representation, so there’s work to be done. HR practices have been gaining traction for gender inclusive health policies and small workplace practices, but these can still fall short of the need for true mindset shift in creating truly gender-inclusive environments that genuinely allow creativity to thrive.
Are there voices in the room of the audience who we are talking to? Is there accountability by the leaders, decision makers and the agency as a whole? In this panel discussion, Chris, Winter, blake and Nina will discuss the importance of representation in creative work, a culture of accountability, learning and well-being when it comes to an inclusive work environment for people of all gender identities.
